In North Carolina, the best times for planting are spring and fall. Summer heat makes it difficult for new plants to establish, while winter temperatures can slow root growth. Because of this, we usually schedule installations in the season following your consultation. If your consultation takes place in fall or winter, your garden will typically be installed in the spring. If your consultation takes place in spring or summer, installation will usually happen in the fall.

Gardens are living systems, constantly growing and evolving over time. While every landscape matures at its own pace, most follow a natural pattern often described as “sleep, creep, and leap.”
Year One: Plants focus on establishing strong roots. Growth above ground may seem slow, but important work is happening below the surface.
Year Two: You’ll start to see steady growth as plants begin to fill in and gain momentum.
Year Three: Your garden comes into its own—plants fill out, textures blend, and the space begins to feel lush and established.

Yes—with the right care in place. Clients enrolled in one of our maintenance plans receive a one-year replacement guarantee on all trees and shrubs we install, at no additional cost. Floral perennials will be replaced as needed at the cost of the plant.
